Party Wall requirements can apply where building work affects a party wall, boundary structure or certain excavations close to neighbouring buildings. The Party Wall Act is separate from planning permission and Building Regulations, and the responsibility for serving the appropriate notice rests with the building owner.
We can discuss suitable bricks, mortar and external finishes during the design and quotation stage, with the aim of making the new extension work naturally with the existing property.
The foundation design depends on the proposed extension, ground conditions, existing building and structural requirements. We follow the structural design and calculations prepared for the project.
Yes. We can carry out structural alterations as part of an extension project. Where a load-bearing wall is removed or altered, appropriate structural calculations and Building Regulations requirements apply.
Yes. We can include new windows, doors and bi-fold door openings within the extension works. New or replacement external windows and doors can be subject to Building Regulations requirements.
